Whatever happened to gift-giving being fun? These days, getting people gifts is about as frustrating and difficult as finding a job with health insurance. There are the people who are impossible to shop for, and then the people who demand items on their wish lists that are uncomfortably pricey. There are the people who don't want to be festive in the slightest, and the people who go so over-the-top with celebratory decorations that you think you're in some sort of dystopian version of the North Pole. Unfortunately for your mental bandwidth and for your bank account, gift-giving is not going to stop any time soon. You just have to close your eyes and get through it.
